CPR-blog

While looking at books I had, I found this particular book in my room that I know I didn't read. I was called "Kindred". I read the back to see what it was about and it caught my interested. About an African-American woman who was snatched away from her California home on her 26th birthday to the antebellum South. I was shock after just reading this small description. I want to know what happened next. Questions already filled my mind by one paragraph, so I can't wait to see what other twist and turns this book would bring me. What really caught my attention was near the end of the brief description where it said "Yet each time Dana's sojourns become longer and more dangerous, until it is uncertain whether or not her life will end, long before it has even begun." That made me think: "oh wow, I wonder what it means by this?! is she going to live or die? and how?!" I enjoy endings that make me wonder.

Very quickly skimming through the pages, I see a lot of parts that I just want to stop at and read, but I rather not jump head. I'm quite surprised that this book has caught my interest. It's quite rare for a book to do so and there was only a few that managed to do so, like "The Great Gatsby", "Mother Night", or "A long way Home". This book is now in my list of interesting books. I hope this book gets approved because I want to start reading and seeing what's going to end up happening.
